This year, the College of Business is grateful and excited to have received funds for endowed accounting scholarships from two of our most valued industry partners: Kernutt Stokes and Moss Adams.
Kernutt Stokes, an Oregon firm with offices in Bend, Corvallis, Eugene and Lake Oswego, established the $75,000 Kernutt Stokes Endowed Accounting Scholarship Fund in March, 2023. The fund will provide $10,000 a year in scholarships through 2027, the first to be awarded this year.
The gift is a part of a larger, $50,000 donation the firm made to Oregon nonprofits and universities to commemorate their 75-year history in Oregon.
The firm was named one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for In Oregon by Oregon Business magazine in 2023, and one of the nation’s top 50 accounting firms of 2022 by INSIDE Public Accounting.
Moss Adams, a firm with a 113-year history and 34 locations throughout the U.S. and one in India, established the $50,000 Moss Adams Accounting Scholarship Fund in June, 2023. The fund will provide $5,000 a year in scholarships through 2028, the first to be awarded in winter, 2024.
Moss Adams has been named a NAFE Top Company for Executive Women by Working Mother Media, number eight overall among accounting firms by Vault.com, and one of the best midsize employers by Forbes magazine.
